This year set some Goals instead of Resolutions!

It’s that time of year again when we are all looking toward 2015 with optimistic attitudes. You know the ones: this year I WILL lose weight, this year I WILL complete that remodeling project, this year I WILL make more money, promote, exercise….

You know the drill. There is something about January 1st that gets us thinking about all the things we want to do, but never seem to make happen. That’s when we do it again; we create our list of resolutions.

What is it about resolutions that make them so hard to actually follow through and do? Resolutions are like dreams without a specific plan. They look and sound good and we even have great intentions. We just never get around to putting any serious plan together to actually make them happen.

I remember the year I really did lose weight. It was the one that I signed up for a weight loss program beginning the first week of January. I set up a plan and took action to be help accountable.

This year, instead of dreaming and making more resolutions, put an actual plan together, one that includes not only specific goals, but also action steps and accountability! Imagine how much more likely you are to accomplish your January dream when you have written down EXACTLY what to do to make it happen!

Are you wondering how to create that plan, one that is reasonable, achievable and has a deadline? Consider coaching with a Team Connections coach. You might want to begin with a strategy session to create your plan. Contact one of our coaches for more details.
