Whew! Aren’t you glad your busy season is winding down?  Are you ready for a break?  You love the fact that taking some time off during the holidays is a perk of your flexible direct selling businesses. The catch is if you and your team take too long a break you won’t have a January or possible a February commission check! Here are five easy things to keep both you and your team engaged while still taking plenty of time for family and fun.

  1. Get the team together and have them complete postcards and notes to send to their customers, clients, and hostesses. Have everyone schedule the dates to mail them and then just pop them in the mail on the appropriate day. You can also work together to pre-schedule posts for your social media. The key is to keep your business in front of people even when you are not working!
  2. Brainstorm with your team to create a list of all the five-minute things they can do for their business and encourage them to hang the list on the refrigerator.
  3. Plan a fun time together to celebrate the holidays in mid-December. Staying in touch will keep everyone focused on keeping his or her business alive.
  4. Schedule a couple of hours on your calendar to make quick calls to your team thanking them for their contributions this year.
  5. Plan a live or virtual meeting for the first week of January. Have everyone bring his or her contact list. Do something fun together and then all get on the phone. It is fun to have a bell to ring when someone schedules an appointment or party. You can even create a competition.

Planning ahead to keep momentum through the holidays will keep your busy robust into the New Year. Plan some time throughout all of December to touch your business every couple of days. You will be grateful for the results in January!
