Keeping momentum through the holidays can be challenging. Many times our December goal is to be ready for the holidays on time, and we tell ourselves, “I’ll wait until January to plan for the new year.  You can do things during the holidays to ensure that your January will have a strong start!  Here are five tips to help you.

Set your goals for 2022: Take time to reflect on 2021. Celebrate what went well and create your vision for what you want 2022 to look like. Get a clear picture and set your goals for the year. Break them down into quarterly goals, then monthly goals. Make an action plan to achieve January goals. Write them down and put them somewhere where you’ll see them every day. Ask your leaders and future leaders to do the same.

Schedule 1-on-1 appointments with your leaders and future leaders. December is an excellent time for 1-on-1 meetings! Celebrate their successes for 2021 and share the strengths you see in them. Revisit their what and why so you both have clarity on what they want for 2022. Review their goals and action plan for January and let them know that you believe in them.

Keep Recruiting. Many leaders shut down by the middle of December. When you continue recruiting, you will have enthusiastic new consultants who will begin the year with you.  Visit teamconnections.org/blog to get ideas on how to keep recruiting strong. If you haven’t signed up for our blogs, now is a great time to do it.

Book more parties or appointments. If your calendar doesn’t have enough personal parties or appointments to give you a great start in January, block off time to make calls to book more.  Be sure to cover yourself by booking a few more than you actually need to make your January goal.

Stay connected with your hosts and new consultant. You’ve spent time booking and recruiting more. By staying in touch over the holidays, you build a stronger relationship.  A quick call, personal note, or Christmas card lets them know how excited you are about their party, appointment, or having them on your team. Let them know that you’re available to support them over the holidays.

Here’s wishing you a blessed Holiday Season and a great start for 2022!
