Do you ever get tired of saying the same thing repeatedly because your team members don’t have parties scheduled? You have great conversations, telling them how to book more parties or appointments, and they still don’t do it! I can feel your frustration when this happens!

If you’re ready to try something new, here are some coaching questions you may want to use to help your people develop their solutions for booking more parties.

Coaching note:  Your frustrations as a leader sometimes make you want to use questions as a hammer. These questions are designed to support you in identifying desired results, valuable processes, and a focus on how your person wants to show up.

When they say, “No one wants to have a party,” use these questions to check their booking attitude:

  • How is that belief serving you? How can you think differently?
  • How do you feel (or think) about booking?
  • What would make it fun?
  • Who would want to have a party with you?
  • What visual can you use to keep yourself motivated?

Help them create their party schedule using these questions.

  • How much income do you want to earn from your parties?
  • How many parties a week/month will it take to make that?
  • What days of the week do you want to hold them?
  • How will your family fit into that?
  • What does your ideal personal schedule look like?

Make a list – use these questions to help them with their list

  • How many people do you have on your contact list?
  • How long has it been since you’ve redone your list?
  • How many do you want to have on your list?
  • Where can you go to find more leads?

Inviting someone to have a party

  • What are your first ten words?
  • How would you like to be invited to have a party?
  • What do you say to offer dates?
  • Are you feeling like you’re doing something to her or for her?
  • Have you called everyone you know or everyone you’re comfortable with?

Booking at Parties

  • What’s your average attendance?
  • How many people do you need to ask to get a booking? (Have them keep track, and they’ll know for sure)
  • How do you host coach for attendance?
  • When you had the most bookings, what did it look like? How did it feel?
  • What do you say to book someone?

Remember to listen after you ask the question and take notes. Follow these questions with other coaching questions that start with what, when, who, where, how, and how come. You will learn what your team member is doing or not doing well and will be able to help strengthen their skills. Hold your people whole without judgment or assuming anything… ask questions!
