Does it ever feel like you live in your car? Family life and a direct selling business business can really keep you on the move. Between school runs, car pools, home and business errands, networking, meetings and selling events, you are never home! Staying on top of all the areas of your life can create some real stress. Try out these simple organizing tips to Keep It Together ‘On the Go.’
- Create a habit of taking 15 minutes every evening to plan the next day. In addition to listing what you will do, list what you will need.
- Keep a selection of bags at the ready. It helps to have different bags for each event: a sporting event bag, a sales meeting bag, an office on the go bag, a leaders’ meeting bag, a recruiting bag, etc. As you collect what you will need for each event, put it in the appropriate bag and just grab the ones you need when you head out the door. Teach your family this system, too. Having a row of hooks or a coat tree with all the bags in one place will really help.
- Speaking of bags, keep one filled with healthy snacks in the car. Nothing creates stress like a car filled with hungry kids!
- Have little ones? Keep a bag of toys in the car to keep them entertained while you are in line at the bank or waiting in the school line. Make sure they are high interest and only allow them to be played with in the car!
- One final tip, when you are writing your daily list, think through the route you will take when you are out and about. Lots of deliveries and errands can be accomplished during a well-planned car pool!
