What is the most critical time in anyone’s direct selling career? Regardless of your company, compensation plan, or key productivity indicators, the most critical time will be the first 30 to 90 days of a consultant’s career.

Just think about new consultants:

  • They are enthusiastic and often directionless.
  • They are natural business attractors.
  • EVERYTHING they sell is an increment since they start from zero.
  • They are proud of their earnings, and showing an income statement to a spouse is a meaningful event.
  • Recruiting a buddy is a natural behavior.

But the most important thing is the intangible one. They keep you excited and on top of your game.

Your challenge is to find the time to spend with your new people. It may be as little as 10% of your business time if you are just starting. If you are established, it may be as much as 40% of your time.

How will you keep new consultants at the top of your priority list?
