By Neil Phillips.

Will you be a victim by the end of July?  Your feelings can easily turn in that direction.  You feel like you have no control because of the vacations, money woes, family summer priorities, and team members who want to move on.

Now think about the July you want to create. Doesn’t look the same, does it? This July is one where things are humming along.  Someone is sick, but you had plans in place.  The weather is, well, the weather.  This year you went overboard in preparing and you have plans in place.  And the new consultants you got started in May and June are excited about their first July.

The difference is all in the planning. By starting your planning right now, you open up avenues of success that are not available if you wait until July.  But April?  Who thinks about July in April?  Leaders who want to make sure of their success in July start in April.

Let’s face it.  April is one of your top sales months.  Your business hums along in May. And then everything moves into transition during June and the month ends too quickly. You can easily forget about being a mindful leader when your business is humming.  You can easily forget to prepare for July until it’s too late.  By planning for May, June, and July all at the same time, you lead your team to the best opportunities each month.

“All things are created twice; first mentally; then physically.  The key to creativity is to begin with the end in mind, with a vision and a blueprint of the desired result.”

~ Stephen Covey
