As you work with more than one moving-up leader at a time, working with groups will help them in many ways. Many top leaders hold special conference calls for their future leaders. It’s a great way for your leaders to share what’s working, learn different approaches, and hold each other accountable for continued success.

You will want all of your new leaders to have some key skills to have when they promote. A great starting place for you is to make a checklist of the skills a future leader needs to advance. You can equip your future leaders by working with them on the steps to promote someone else to lead.

With all of these possible future leaders, you will want a system to keep track of who wants to move up, how she is progressing, and what her plans include. Some top leaders use a spreadsheet to record their future leaders and keep track of their progress. Others use a spiral notebook with a page for each future leader, keeping notes of plans, new parties booked, and recruits.

Whatever system you use to keep track, make sure it serves your purpose. Trying to hold all that information in your head will keep you from working with more than a couple of people at a time.

Another great way to work in groups is to host Opportunity Events. Opportunity Events can be a fun and non-threatening environment for guests to explore the value of joining your company.  The synergy that is generated when more than one future leader brings guests is exciting. Seeing so much room for opportunity is contagious for prospective Consultants, and they notice the friendships, cooperation, and mutual respect of your team members.

By the way, it is a great time for you to bring your guests, too. That‘s working smarter, not harder. It is also another way that you are training your future leaders to work in groups!
