How many times have you heard that Recruiting is the Answer? Probably, many, many times, because it is true! Why? Because you’ll never sell more with fewer team members! Every time you recruit someone, you increase sales by adding more sales opportunities to your team calendar, more team members to your team, and opening the doors to more groups of people. Also, think about the enthusiasm and energy that new people add to the team. The more team members you add, the faster you build the momentum on your team.
Let’s take a look at three steps you can take to keep recruiting alive on your team.
- Lead by Example – Always look for two or more leads from every party you would like to work with and immediately offer them the chance to hear more about the opportunity. Hold five recruiting conversations every week to make sure you recruit two or more every month. Others will follow your lead!
- Role Model – Show new team members, from day one, how to pick two leads from every party. Talk to them after every party to discuss their leads. Show them how to contact their leads quickly and set up Recruiting Conversations. (Remember, recruit leads are like bananas…they go bad in 48 hours.) Be sure and set up three-way calls with new team members and their lead so they can listen to your words as you are recruiting. Showing them how works so much better than just telling them how. Soon, they will be recruiting just like you.
- Schedule time for recruiting every week. Block it out at the same time each week, if possible (i.e., every Tuesday & Thursday morning.) You’ll need to contact leads to set up and hold recruiting conversations. Also, you’ll want to be in contact with your team members who have leads. You’ll find that when you have a regular schedule set to focus on recruiting, it will get done.
Top leaders know that recruiting consistently and regularly is the best way to achieve the success they dream of achieving. When you focus on recruiting and show your team how to do the same… fantastic growth will happen!
