Even though people are busy in the summer, you can have a fantastic summer business. Decide on how many parties and other events you will hold in July and August. Think about what you will do with your income. Will you meet your needs or use the income toward your dreams?

Before you start:

  1. Have a list of people to call.
  2. Customer order forms
  3. Directories
  4. Have a place to make calls that is neat and quiet.
  5. Have time set aside for your calling so you won’t be rushed. Use Facebook Messenger (audio version) when you can.
  6. Have a list of current gifts and your datebook ready.
  7. Remember to smile before you start the call! (People respond better to pleasant-sounding voices)
  8. Be positive. Remember, you are offering a unique service and lots of gifts!
  9. Don’t fear “No’s” (All good salespeople get them.)
  10. Don’t forget to ask, “If it’s not a good time now, when can I call back?” (If they say they never have parties, ask them if they would like to recommend someone they know who loves to have parties.)
  11. Make sure you thank everyone you speak to and let them know you want to be their personal consultant.
